The reason the place only gets 3 stars is this, when I called to make the appointment it was worded that the person that he has seen in the past was not "in" the day we were trying to schedule but " Angela was "in" and that was fine took the appointment with Angela ( like I stated earlier was great. The woman making the appointment never stated that you must cancel 24 hrs in advance (we all know is not always possible) so when. I called to say that he had gotten hung up and could we possibly make it later, it was then that she said that the therapist came in just for him ( mean while day before she made it sound like they were already going to be there) and that they had a 24 he cancelation policy and that even if they were to reschedule to later they were going to charge him for a missed appointment. So he essentially paid for two messages. I understand that the therapist time is valuable, but things happen, and I would have been more understanding of the situation if all the other information was stated at the time of scheduling appointment, she also said that they called to confirm wich was a lie because I had only made the appointment for him late in the day the day before, I checked my phone and his and no missed call or msg. I just think it is very poor customer service how it all went down comes across a bit shady.They need to remind thier staff that the policy should be stated upon scheduling not when someone has to cancel or really in this case reschedule.
This is in response to Charlene V review. I am the owner of the art of Massage and have been in business in WHB for 15 years. We pride ourselves on giving the best massage experience possible. With that said I only hire the Best. Thank you for graciously giving Angela 5+ stars! Yes she is an amazing massage therapist.
Now, back to your husbands appointment. Your husband has been coming to my office for many years and I the owner, have worked on him many times. Our policy is explained in detail upon making the appointment. A credit card is ALWAYS taken at the time of scheduling to insure the client shows up. 24 hour notice to cancel is enforced . Your husband on the last 2 scheduled appointments (years ago) did not show up or call. I spoke to him myself and I did not charge him for those 2 times. He was then put on a list of people that have been known to not show up for scheduled appointment. This last time he was a no show he was charged. My therapist have to be paid for their time. My front desk Linda called you Charlene and notified you that your husband did not show up for his massage again. You apologized and you said to Linda he forgot. You and your husband are well aware of the policy. You are perturbed at the fact that you were finally charged. Moral of the story? Don't make appointments you can't keep.
Let me start by saying the massage therapist, Angela get 5+ stars. My husband had been in pain 2+ weeks but has difficulty making time to get massages because of his work by schedule, he said she was very sweet and very strong and did a great job and he highly recommends her.
